Frequently Asked Questions
Is the free version actually useful?
Yes — recording, library, markers, Cut and Clip operations are all free. You can record a take, mark it up, cut what you don't need, export the parts you do. Pro unlocks the creative side: filters, reverse, pitch shift, time stretch.
Why is Pro a one-time purchase?
Because that's how an audio editor should be sold. Buy it once, keep it forever, get the updates. No subscription, no renewal reminder, no surprise charge in 12 months.
What does "Family Sharing" mean here?
Pro is enabled for Apple Family Sharing. Buy it once, share with up to five family members on their Apple IDs — no extra cost.
Ask your teacher for a promo code?
Some music teachers and educators distribute Apple promo codes to their students. Each code unlocks Pro for free. If you're studying with a teacher who uses Vivaldi Audio Editor, ask them — they may have one for you.
Can I try Pro before buying?
You can use every Pro feature in preview mode — segment-only loop with the effect applied — without unlocking. Only Apply (final render) is gated. So you can hear exactly what you're paying for.
I bought it on iPad. Does it work on my other iPad?
Yes. Restore Purchases in Settings — Apple verifies your purchase and unlocks Pro on any device signed into the same Apple ID.
What about iPhone?
Vivaldi Audio Editor is iPad-first. iPhone support is on the roadmap but not in the initial release.
